Linden Shawl

Learn how to make this beautiful shawl. During the workshop you will learn how to translate a chart, master knit two together and slip knit pass over, and complete a knit-on edging. You will also receive some additional information about the pattern that will make counting much easier for you. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Skills necessary to take this workshop: Need to know how to knit and purl.
Skills to be learned in this workshop: Chart reading/translating, knit two together, slip knit pass over, yarn over, knit-on edging.

Coin Stitch Cowl

Decay Shawl

Learn to knit this addicting garter stitch shawl with a free-form lace like decayed look. This shawl flies off the needles as you knit back and forth increasing every row while learning picot edging and some random lace insets. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Skills necessary to take this workshop: This workshop is for an advanced beginner as you need to be familiar with casting on, garter stitch (knit every row), simple increasing (kfb & yarnover), decreasing (k2tog) and binding off.
Skills to be learned in this workshop: Basic shawl knitting and construction, using index cards to mark rows, cable cast on, basic lace and picot edging.

• 1 skein of Plymouth Reserve Fingering Yarn any color
• US 4 needles in 32” length and 1 stitch marker.

Single Crochet

Learn how to complete the single crochet stitch. We will also discuss basics of crochet, from how to chain and bind off, to gauging your work. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Please call the shop to reserve your spot. 248.541.9665.

Double Crochet

Learn how to complete the double crochet stitch. We will also discuss basics of crochet, from how to chain and bind off, to gauging your work. Hitchhiker Shawl with a Twist

Learn how to use different size yarn and add an eyelet row to the beautiful Hitchhiker Shawl. Take a beautiful shawl to a new level. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Please call the shop to reserve your spot. 248.541.9665.

Time: 10:00am–12:00 pm

• 2 skeins of Malabrigo Dos Tierras OR 3 skeins Classic Elite Soft Linen
• Suggested Needles US8 for Dos Tierras and US7 for Soft Linen. Bring a couple different size needles or do a small garter swatch to find what needle you like.

Herringbone Stitch Cowl

This is a beautiful stitch that creates woven looking fabric similar to the herringbone weave used to make men’s suit fabric. The stitch is equally useful for cowls and scarves or pillows and bags. Size 22” x 7” but can easily be adjusted during cast on. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Please call the shop to reserve your spot. 248.541.9665.

Blocking Workshop

Do not fear the blocking! In this basic blocking workshop, we go through every step of the wet blocking process. You will learn how to soak your item, roll it, lay it out and pin it using pins and wires.  See the magic happen as you take your knits to the next level. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Crochet Corner to Corner Washcloth
