"The Entrelac Experience"

Let Jessica help you learn this fun technique by creating the "Quant" headband from Knitty. This project will teach you the basics of entrelac and you'll end up with a wearable piece! Knitters taking this workshop should know how to knit, purl, increase and decrease.

"Felted Soap"

No knitting required! Make this quick, easy gift using your favorite bar of soap and wool roving.

"To Dye For"

Create your own rainbow using cake dye for coloring natural fibers. We will supply all the materials including 1 skein of sock yarn or 2 skeins of cascade 220 to get you started! Absolutely no experience necessary. Children over 5 are welcome to attend with an adult.

"Beaded Scarf"

This elegant beaded scarf is truly easy to make. Let us teach you how to string the beads and place them as you knit and you'll be off! Students taking this workshop must know how to cast on and knit in garter stitch.

So, you have a pile of sweater parts. Now what? In this class we cover shoulder seams, armhole seams, side seams, picking up stitches for neck and button bands, and buttonholes. We will work together using swatches made as homework. Supply list and homework instructions provided with registration.

About Natalie Wilson
We're delighted to welcome Natalie Wilson, knitwear designer and teacher to "...have you any Wool?" to conduct this workshop. If you've taken a workshop from Natalie in the past you know what a wonderful instructor she is. If you haven't, now's your chance! Natalie Wilson is iKnitiative's principal creative force. Natalie is a knitwear designer and knitting teacher based in the Detroit, Michigan area.

She began publishing and selling iKnitiative patterns after her designs were favorably received at the Detroit Knit-Out in September 2003. In addition to designing for her iKnitiative pattern line, which is now sold through more than 200 yarn shops in North America, Natalie designs for knitting magazines and yarn companies and has contributed to several books. Natalie lives with a very patient and supportive husband, their two delightful young children, and a hot-tempered cat.

"Ruffle Scarf"

What a beautiful way to learn the short row technique! Join Beth and watch the ruffles appear as you knit this stylish accessory just in time for the brisk days of fall and winter. You must know how to cast on, knit and bind off. Instructor: Beth

Materials Needed: Approximately 200 yards of DK weight yarn and appropriate sized needles. We used "Ritratto" for our shop model. Whatever yarn you choose must be purchased here at the shop.

"Bottom to Top"

Knit a pullover with raglan sleeves in one piece! This sweater is worked in the round, therefore, eliminating the need for any seams. When your knitting is finished, the only thing left to do is weave a few stitches under the arms and pull your new sweater over your head! This workshop has a skill level of "Easy". Students should have some previous experience with double point needles and knitting in the round.

Dates: Fridays, September 25, October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Cost: $78.00 plus materials

Materials Needed: Approximately 1500 yards of yarn, Addi Turbo Circular needles in 16" and 32" lengths (The size of your needle will depend on the yarn you choose.), Crochet hook, tape measure, notebook, pen and stitch markers. This workshop requires that you bring a swatch to class in the yarn that you choose for your sweater. Cast on 25 stitches and knit approximately 25 rows in stockinette.
