Elijah the Elephant
Learn to make this adorable elephant, perfect for a baby shower present. The best part about the pattern, no ends to weave in! We will learn an invisible circular cast on, and then knit on double points in the round, picking up stitches to seamlessly create each new piece. Basic increases and decreases plus some short rows will give shape to this sweet toy.
Students should be intermediate knitters with basic skills such as increasing and decreasing. Experience with double points would be helpful but not necessary.
Date: Saturday, July 10 and 17
Time: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Cost: $25.00 plus materials
Materials:1 skein of Butterfly Cotton or 220 yards of a DK weight yarn, US 2 ½ double points, polyfill stuffing, Ysolda’s Elijah pattern (#1023), small amount of contrast color of yarn or buttons for eyes

Springtime Bandit Workshop
Now is your chance to experience the Springtime Bandit Workshop, with Andrea Marquis, the Fibre company yarn rep. It is a great first charted lace intro or refresher. In this fairly intense one day session, you will get through the set-up chart for this lovely pattern, and will learn everything you need to know to finish the shawlette on your own! You will get to knit with The Fibre Company’s beautiful, luxurious and most popular yarn, Terra! You’ll challenge yourself by learning new skills and ways of looking at your knitting that will help you with all your future projects!
Skill level: This workshop is fun and appropriate for all levels of knitter, AS LONG AS you have an open mind, an adventurous spirit, are willing to stay focused to overcome a challenge, and can knit, purl, and are familiar with yo, k2tog, and skp. Brave beginners—crank up the YouTube videos or practice the above on your gauge swatch.

Time: 10:30 am – 2:30 pm
Cost: $30.00
Materials:
- 4, 6, or 8 skeins of Terra in your color of choice, wound into balls or yarn-cakes
- US Size 9 24" circular needle, or size needed to get gauge of 4-4.5 sts per inch in st st. longer circular needle is needed to finish the two larger shawls, but 24" is fine for this workshop
- Crochet hook of similar size to knitting needles is optional, as I teach a different cast-on
- at least 4 Stitch markers
- a few yards of waste yarn
- Darning needle
- Some way to keep track of what row you are on (row counter, magnet board or paper and writing implement, wide sticky notes to cover future rows of charts are highly recommended.)
